Hey there everyone! :) ... babysitting right now...but it's bedtime for them, and i'm spending the night since the parents are at an X-Mas party that's like 3 hours away....so yea, i was thinking about getting some homework done...that's a no go : ) i dont have much motivation whatsoever! so anyway...we went to a couple stores tonight....bought myself a HAT! woo...Andrew said it looks good...so hopefully he's right (he normally is, and very honest too). :) i'm EXCITED about it! lol hmmmm...had some fun taking some pictures with the kids tonight as well...oh! while we were at Best Buy, we saw Brett Humphrey, Stan Choi, and some chica with Brett...then all of a sudden out pop Spencer (Choi) and Mike Traylor (sp) then it clicked...oh yea, spencer and stan are brothers lol :)... ~ :) lol i got my ring from Ryan back! :) it's pretty...i like it...:) ~ last night i decorated the X-Mas tree...it's GORGEOUS lol :) mom's like .... just get it decorated, i dont care what you put on it! (normally it's white lights, with red ribbons, and "antique-ish" ornaments, fishing ornaments, and some cinnamon type ornaments...but i put BIG colored bulbs on it, and then ryan said the white lights would look dumb with it *the normal ones* so then we put the normal sized colored ones on and it's all perdy-ful :)....anyway :) here's an email i got....kinda funny...enjoy!

The Parrot
A young man named John received a parrot as a gift.The parrot had a bad attitude and an even worse vocabulary.Every word out of the bird's mouth was rude, obnoxious andlaced with profanity. John tried and tried to change the bird'sattitude by consistently saying only polite words, playingsoft music and anything else he could think of to "clean up"the bird's vocabulary.Finally, John was fed up and he yelled at the parrot. Scott Daniel Gerbers

GERBERS - Scott Daniel Gerbers, aged 24, of Wyoming, passed away from accidental injuries on Friday, October 22, 2004. He will be dearly missed by his parents, Gale and MaryAnn Gerbers; his sister, Melissa (Matt) Lane; brothers, Russ and Ryan Gerbers; his girlfriend of two and a half years, Nikki Hoskins; nephew and niece, Brayden and Taylor Lane; grandparents, Louis Gerbers, Ray and Erma Armock. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Jean Gerbers. Scott was a 1998 graduate of Wyoming Park High School and worked for VanSingel Electric. He reposes at the Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4646 Kalamazoo Ave. SE, Kentwood, where the family will meet relatives and friends Monday 7 to 9 p.m. and where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association. Published in the Grand Rapids Press on 10/25/2004.

WALKER -- Two Van Singel Electric employees died Friday after their work truck ran down a 15-foot embankment, struck a tree and rolled over, pinning them underneath the pickup's passenger side along southbound U.S. 131. State police say the victims, Steven Van Singel, 26, and Scott Gerbers, 24, were not wearing their seat belts and were ejected from the truck as it went off the highway.
Van Singel lived in Hudsonville and Gerbers was a Wyoming resident, police said.
The truck struck a road sign for the eastbound Int. 96 on-ramp before roaring down the hill and into a wooded area.
A second vehicle, a GMC Savana van, was involved in the crash and police are continuing to investigate what happened leading to the double fatality.
The van, registered to Carrier Pigeons LLC in Monroe County, had minor damage to the front passenger side.
Trooper Mitchell Dyer said it appears the van's driver, whose name was not released by police, was in the left lane of the highway when his vehicle veered into the right lane, striking the victims' truck.
"At this point, all we know is the two vehicles had contact near the exit ramp," Dyer said.
"From there, the impact pushed the truck down the hill and the men were killed when the truck rolled on them."
The 3:43 p.m. crash shut down the ramp to Int. 96 for several hours and backed up traffic on U.S. 131 to Fifth Third Park, the home of the West Michigan Whitecaps, through rush hour.
Debris, including a large ladder and other items from the truck of the Georgetown Township electric business, littered the highway shoulder and area where the pickup came to rest on its side.

here's what i found out today...
A deadly accident closed part of U.S. route 131 during rush hour Friday. Police say 26 year old Steven Douglas Vansingel of Hudsonville and 24 year old Scott Daniel Gerbers of Wyoming were killed during the roll-over collision. It happened on 131 near the ramp to east bound I-96. A pick-up truck and a van were traveling in the same direction when police say the van forced the truck off the road. The men were thrown from the pick-up truck and pronounced dead at the scene.

...that's ryan's brother :-/ i just dont know what to say or do, i feel helpless...

my dad sent me this as a forward....i thought it was funny! :)

This is purported to be a true story. Those with children (or have helped with them) will probably relate to this father.......... As ham sandwiches go, it was perfection. A thick slab of ham, a fresh bun, crisp lettuce and plenty of expensive, light brown, gourmet mustard. The corners of my jaw aching in anticipation, I carried it to the table in our backyard, picked it up with both hands but was stopped by my wife suddenly at my side. "Hold Johnny (our 6-week-old son) while I get my sandwich," she said. I had him balanced between my left elbow and shoulder and was reaching again for t he ham sandwich when I noticed a str eak of mustard on my fingers. I love mustard. I had no napkin. I licked it off. It was not mustard. No man ever put a baby down faster. It was the first and only time I have sprinted with my tongue protruding. With a washcloth in each hand I did the sort of routine shoeshine boys do, only I did it on my tongue. Later (after she stopped crying from laughing so hard) my wife said, "Now you know why they call that mustard "Poupon."

hey everyone...havent written in here in a while, thought now would be a good time :) lol cuz im at a total mental block for hw! :-/ lol oh well...last weekend...saturday the band performed at Kenowa Hills Knight Time Classic....placed 1st outta 5 class B bands! :) go them...tomorrow night we have a football game...it's gonna be coold, but a good time :). this week's been so "roller coasterish" not going to go into any real details...i talked to the people that could help me ... and that's that :) lol -- i have so much darn hw! it's driving me nuts oh well...I signed up for AP English right? <:sigh:> oh well....friends help make it easier :) thank you...yup so im bored, really kinda procrastinating.....gotta do my hair too...last night and tuesday night i had to work until 10 rather than 9 both nights because of the big sale that's going on to get rid of all the 2004 model vehicles....it was chaotic....but oh well...got some good food out of it! :) and being busy there makes it more fun! so woo to that :) lol ok....i really gotta get back to my hw....you all have a great day/night :) bye

One day, in line at the company cafeteria, Joe says to Mike behind him," My elbow hurts like hell. I guess I better see a doctor." "Listen, you don't have to spend that kind of money," Mike replies. "There's a diagnostic computer down at Wal-Mart. Just give it a urine sample and the computer
will tell you what's wrong and what to do about it. It takes ten seconds and costs ten dollars...a lot cheaper than a doctor."
So Joe deposits a urine sample in a small jar and takes it to Wal-Mart.
He deposits ten dollars, and the computer lights up and asks for the urine sample. He pours the sample into the slot and waits. Ten seconds later, the computer ejects a printout:
"You have tennis elbow. Soak your arm in warm water and avoid heavy activity. It will improve in two weeks."

That evening while thinking how amazing this new technology was, Joe began wondering if the computer could be fooled. He mixed some tap water, a stool sample from his dog, urine samples from his wife and daughter, and a sperm sample for good measure. Joe hurries back to Wal-Mart, eager to check the results. He deposits ten dollars, pours in his concoction, and awaits the results.
The computer prints the following:

Heya Everyone!! i havent updated this in a loooong time! :) let's see...our presentation in Schnotala's class i believe went pretty well! im satisfied...we collected our hw assignments today to get 'em graded, then we'll work on our 10 test questions and works cited page i spose...so Freshman won spirit week and the floats...that's kinda depressing...it's unfair to the extent that they have a ton more people in their class than we do in ours! oh well...our football team WON on Friday night! :) we're happy...we were worried that for our senior homecoming we'd lose...but we didnt! :) good job boys! and also...a congratulations of our 2004 homecoming king and queen -- Andrew and Mallory! :) uhm, band had a very successful post game performance...at least from my perspective :) :i was pleased and im TOTALLY excited for this saturday at Kenowa Hills!! :) WOO HERE WE COME! :) lol. Got my yearbook! :) the cover's awesome...i have a few pictures of me floating around in it as well...good stuff :) we had to decorate friday night after the football game...kinda boring, but we did it, and got the hallway basically completed! :) i like doing the hallway:) and then as we were leaving noticed somethin wrong with davy's car...he had wet toilet paper on it :-P so he ended up hosing down his car at 12:30 friday night! poor davy :) lol saturday...did more decorating, and got some last minute hc details un-kinked! my hair turned out pretty good! kept falling out in spots...but other than that it held nicely...the dance totally sucked! got pictures with people i wanted to get pictures with though so it's all good :) and the bonfire afterwards was pretty good...along with watching "Finding Nemo" :) lol good movie! but we all ended up falling asleep...hmm, then sunday...clean-up...totally sucked! lol didnt wanna sweep the mats, so i helped in every other possible way...it worked! :) Brittany cut her thumb with scissors....a big gash, kinda gross :) lol she enjoyed the sight though...took a little nap, and tried to get the sims 2 to work again....my stupid video card is driving me nuts! :) lol oh well...and then i found out that david doesnt know what a cracker barrel is...and he's never been to wal-mart!! =-O :) lol poor deprived kid! so we'll be taking a field trip there sometime in the near future! :) -- i'm totally loving web design...it's so much fun! :) and i actually am understanding a lot of it! it's DEFINITELY way better than pre-calc! thank goodness for me finally standing up and switching out! :) the group that present today in Schnotala's class gave out a butt load of hw...i have OTHER stuff to get done...along with BAND!! ugh, looks like it's gonna be a late night again...i guess i could be doing that instead of taking a 1/2 hour to write in here...but i felt i havent in a while, and it's nice to organize all of my thoughts! :) so deal with it....psh i dont even know if anybody reads this thing....oh well! :) enjoy i'm going to go off and do something productive now hopefully! :) have a great day...

ok so last night i was really worried about our English project....i was like jeez, we're not gonna find enough research to throw all of our info together....well if Shane and Julio got as much info as me, then we'll be fine, even though i didnt get a lot, i got enough that we'll get some time accomplished! :) lol so now i'm not so stressed...we're meeting in the morning 7:05 *woo!* lol so early, but it's alrightbut yea, we can figure out what we want accomplished, finish it up tomorrow night and be all gravy! :) it'll be good! and the 10 EC points are always a plus! :)
on a different note, yesterday after school we were suppose to stay for student council to help build decorations, well it ended up being just me claire and david...it was a good time though :) lol and then we accidentally spray painted mrs. wood's wall with silver spray paint...we were like "she's gonna notice!" so this morning claire told me that they were looking at the gates and she's like "you guys got paint on my walls!" and claire being the smart one was "but we used paper to cover it up" and mrs. wood's all "YOU SPRAY PAINTED IN MY ROOM!?!" lol i laughed when she told me :) like i said...good times!
and now, i'm totally hating math...like i hated it before, but this isnt even fun! we're doing truth tables...totally pointless...ugh, i HATE it! it's fun cuz of the people....they make me laugh, but other than that, it totally and completely sucks! hmm what else? this is already a long post! prolly cuz i didnt post yesterday...makes sense! :) lol ... icant wait until i get my next check!!! it's gonna be a lot of money! but it's all going towards new york i guess...ah oh well, i'll live :) i dont really need to buy much else...i have my craig's cruisers check and it's going to buy me the sims 2 on thursday...gosh i cant wait to play that game! i guess it got a 8.9 outta 10! :) means it'll be good.......better be for 50 bucks! :) ok...gotta get goin, gotta find a couple pictures again, and then it's off to an early bedtime....a much needed early bedtime! :) dont forget, tomorrow's class color day! only 3 days left until we teach Mr. Schnotala's class....that means only 3 more days of this stress/worry! I cant wait until this is OVER! and i so hope Ryan gets a new job! :( Eye on has been giving him too many hours and giving me less hours with him...:-/ <:sigh:> oh well...i'll deal...hmm what else? oh we found out that if we were placed at MTOB on saturday then we would have been second overall...but we still got crushed by 7 points! oh well, that's standing fast all through tiger rag...and we had a lot of visuals in there...so i'm soooo excited for next weekend! :) the season is officially started! and we have our first home football game this weekend! alright, gotta get stuff done, just thought i'd put an update in...ttyl -- almost forgot my math quiz....i got a 3 on it...i thought it was like 3 outta 8....nope, 3 outta 17....so i got an 18% .... how totally not rockin is that!? alright, g'night

so i'm stressed out...cant get a hold of julio...today's the only day our group has where all of us are free and able to work together...if we're lucky shane can work his magic with keri and nicole..let us switch with them...kinda doubt that's going to happen though >:-O! and then tomorrow i hae a Business Law test...that'll be easy, but i have to do the stupid opinion questions and have all those answered by tomorrow...i'm totally procrastinating....and also 100 pages of mrs. dalloway...Schnotala said start reading them friday, and dont hold it off until sunday...but i had no motivation whatsoever, so i have 100 pages to read today....GOOD TIMES! lol anyway...i'm out for now...i obviously have a lot to get done today! woo...cya tomorrow...if i make it through!

today's been a good day! woke up around 8 because my body told me to....took a shower and headed to band around 11...saw ryan for a lil bit, then noon to 1 had band rehearsal...went pretty well, thankfully! :) lol tonight we had MTOB...good times, i'm learning all the ropes on how to do stuff....it'll come soon enough i hope though...anyway...i'm off to bed prolly, gotta get up tomorrow and work on our AP 12 english project...me, shane, and julio g....it's gonna be interesting, that's all i havta say...heck, julio wants to dress up! lol we'll see how it goes....more later g'night

while trying to figure this out i totally deleted my last post...thank goodness for me it was really about nothing, and only a couple lines long...anway, i've always wanted to have one of these online journal things, but i've never known what to say...but this year i actually have classes that make me think, and think deeply, it's pretty neat, cuz it's intruiging! and it's made me realize that im not really insane when i think about the things that i do because it appears that people actually think like that! ok, i'm ending this for now...have a great night
